One month anniversary...

I thought I would include a short narrative today. Yesterday was the one month anniversary of Jeff and Karen's (with an "e") wedding celebration (in relation to the blog dates). That blessed (?) event took place on September 27, 2009. I'd like to be clear once again that I had no idea he'd gotten married, and he knew that would be the end of his relationship with me if he was. Had he mentioned the marriage to me, I would have continued to be his friend -without the benefits!
Today I look back with a chuckle over all of these events, and now that I am in touch with yet another woman that he was trying to string along --for heaven only knows how long-- we have laughed over Jeff's escapades and his behavior. I sometimes wonder if he considered us to be "spares" just in case his marriage didn't work out. He was intimate with me both shortly before his wedding day and shortly after...what does that say about this man?
No doubt there are men out there who may be envious of Jeff's philandering...but certainly many who are appalled by his behavior. I've discussed this situation with many men now and some have said to me "Wow, what a guy, he must have been a great lover." My reply is that he was not such a great lover, actually somewhat mediocre as a lover, but when we are in "love" it's great just to be with the person that we love. We tend to overlook much when we are in love and certainly some things can be worked out over time when two people are in a committed relationship. However, I believe that Jeff is incapable of being in a committed relationship, despite the fact that he considers himself to be in a committed relationship with Karen, with an "e" - if he's fooling around on the side, he's NOT in a committed relationship. I mean, where's the commitment in that?
