Today's Narrative:
I don't really have much to say today. I've grown weary of this bitter cold, as well as the lake effect snow, and I've already used more than 100 lbs. of black sunflower seed, and at least a dozen suet cakes, for the birds this winter season.

I've been contemplating relationships with a couple of my close girlfriends, and they do not seem to be particularly enthused at this juncture over their options, or...don't actually care at this moment if they are with or without... (I'm okay with my current relationship(s)...lol, so no complaints from me..)  It seems the weather is also a deterrent for getting together for meetings with the opposite sex. Makes me think that we (up here in the north) may be similar to hibernating animals...better find someone before the end of October, 'cause we'll be home-bound until the following April. One certainly does not want to go on a first date that does not turn out to be the best date, only to find oneself stranded with that person because of the weather. Uggh!!

Who's sensitive?
So, let me get to the first point of today's commentary, as more time passes by, the more convinced I am that men are actually much more sensitive creatures than women. I believe (via observation) that men are, in fact, much more vain about their appearance than women.  I also believe that they are more easily hurt by criticism than most women. Perhaps this is because women have been kept down in the "underdog" position for so long that they are used to taking more abuse than men and have become more resilient as a result of all that abuse. Women have had to become fighters as a result of the centuries of abuse and lack of status, but you never know, things may turn around yet.  I'd like to see a little more equality in the workplace, in the pay scale areas. We'll see what happens now that more than 50% of the workforce in the US is female ---according to the statistic that I heard this past year (2010). That may just be because there are more women working in the service industries, 'cause how many men will take a job on the wait staff at Denny's?

When is a relationship over?
And my second point: Typically when a relationship is "over" for a woman it's OVER. Men tend to linger over relationships that had some sort of meaning for them. The only way that I've ever lingered over a relationship, is if I was particularly hurt or angered by someone's actions...I'll do a cat vs. mouse kind of thing by luring that man and then giving him a full body slam (or two), before totally removing him from my life.  I know it's not a nice thing, but sometimes the people that we interact with are not nice either...hmmm...let me think if I can come up with an example here....:)  I'm hopeful that my blog, my book, and when I take out a full page newspaper ad, and possibly a billboard on the highway into Cleveland from the eastern suburbs, will constitute a full body slam -or two. We'll see...;)

Very recently I found a "Jeff" look alike on a dating site...or perhaps it really was Jeff...still searching to rebuild his harem. Made me laugh (and a little bit sad) to think that he's still out there...so desperately searching for something that will make him feel ALIVE. (Wasn't that the name of a horror flick?)

Sheesh!  Well, I don't remember the exact line from Moonstruck...but...it was something like...get over it man, we're all going to die...you included!

Okay, I thought I did not have much to say when I started writing...lololol...so...let's get on with it...:
